It's also about family and growing older - def a great film. It just hit me at a time when I had the sobs. But even though it is "sad" it is also kind of happy and has lots of laughs.
-ValVal and Parkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17659431392894236853noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8914204124628670371.post-68241628858206615452008-12-28T13:40:00.000-08:002008-12-28T13:40:00.000-08:00Sounds like fun! I suffered from a raging case of internal inappropriate laughter at Midnight services, so I'm probably going to hell. But in my defense, if the pastor and his brother sing a song they wrote with their eyes closed, they're asking for it. (Inappropriate Church laughter REALLY brings me back to the days of high school when the..um...Church guy(Bishop?) sounded EXACTLY like Dana Carvy. "This is the WORRD of the LORRD- now isn't that special?")

My siblings and I are at that age where we 1) don't require that much presents and 2) can afford to go off and buy them with our own money, so we usually get about 3-4 nice presents from the parents, plus secret santa. So I got a very nice peacoat, opal earrings, and a cool purse (my MOTHER picked out. She's certainly gotten cooler with age).

But mostly, I worked. So I was too tired and cranky to enjoy Christmas. That and my Crazy Aunt Mary and my Crazy Cousin Sarah were over, and wouldn't stop singing every line (EVERY LINE) in Mamma Mia while we watched it (not to mention laughing at weird times. I'm telling you, there's "quirky" and pretty much "insane"), so I pretty much had it BEFORE "Honey, Honey" even started.

But it was nice to be home and eating all day. It's the one day of the year it's okay for me to eat a piece of chocolate at 8 am. It was my one day off in weeks, so I more or less enjoyed it while it lasted.

So would you suggest Marley and Me? I was thinking about seeing it with the boyfriend.

Hope you have a very nice New Year's Eve!Jennifer Goodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08567885257853378953noreply@blogger.com
